Beginner Private Group Lesson • You Host!

Private Group Lessons: Perfect for players who have never played before. You host the location and we do the rest!

Mahjong 101: Minimum of 6 People / Maximum of 12 People

$65 per person per class

Option to schedule 2 classes (Mahjong 101 + 102) at discounted rate.

In this 2-2.5-hour beginner class, you’ll learn all the essentials of American Mahjong — including how to recognize tile names, mahj vocabulary, the National Mahjong League (NMJL) card & how to DEAL. No prior experience is needed — just bring your fun vibe and get ready to rack & roll! ✨

This is the ideal girls’ night (or couples party) for friends who want to laugh, learn, and have a blast — warning: it’s likely to turn into a girls’ night obsession! 💖

Includes:

2-2.5 hours of guided instruction
Pre-session emails with key concepts and visuals to help you feel confident walking into your lesson!
Tips/Tricks to make the game easier.
All tables, tiles, teaching, cheat sheets — and the fun! And if you supply the tables, we supply some prizes!
We supply National Mahjong League Cards for the lesson.
Post-session email recapping key concepts to help everything stick!

Location: Live Classes can be hosted in your home or at any venue where you have permission.

You need Mahjong 101 & 102 before you will be able to fully play the game. We recommend adding Mahjong 102 within 1–2 weeks of completing Mahjong 101. Details for 102 below.

In this 2-hour class, you’ll review the essentials of American Mahjong from Mahjong 101 — including how to deal — learn The Charleston, and then move into guided game play.
